My life 0 – 5 year.
I was born on a beautiful Monday October 2, 1995 in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
My life 5 – 10 year.
I started playing golf around the age of 5 on a holiday in America with my parents. My dad played quite a bit and my sister and mother just started out. In the beginning I didn’t really like it that much because my biggest passion at that time was competitive swimming short distances. But during a test day with the NGF I got selected for the B-selection and since that moment I involved more and more into the game. My first tournament for the Dutch Team was against France at Golf National, I was 12 and it was a great experience playing for the Netherlands and compete. My biggest achievement was winning the National Championship’s under 9 years old.
My life 10 – 15 year.
During this time I still was swimming competitive as well, but when I was 13 I had to make the choice between swimming and golf. I choose to play golf because I already won the National Championship under 9, and in addition I became National Champion under 12 and was selected for the National Girls Team. I became more and more competitive and started to like the game even more!
My life 15 – 20 year.
I played all around the world for the Dutch National Team from 15 till 19. I have great memories playing the European and World Team Championships for the Netherlands. With some of the Dutch players I have friendships and memories for life! In 2013 when I was 17 I played my first LET tournament at the Deloitte Ladies Open as an amateur and directly knew this is what I wanted to do professionally.
In the same year I got selected to play in the Jr Solheim Cup for Europe, this was one of my best weeks of my life and I have such great memories with the girls and watching Europe retain the cup in Colorado.
My last tournament as an amateur was the 2014 World Amateur Team Championships where I finished individually 6th. Right after I went to the 2014 Qualifying School, where I passed all the stages and finished 10th at final stage earning full status for the 2015 Ladies European Tour season just at 19 years old.
In my rookie season I finished 72nd on the Order of Merrit collecting 3 top 25 finishes. On the 2015 LETAS series I had 3 top 10’s including my first win as a professional winning the 2015 HLR Golf Academy Open in Finland.
My life 21 – 24 year.
Sunday 16 October 2016, Xiamen International Ladies Open China, my 1st victory on the Ladies European Tour. What a special moment, in the 2nd year as a professional player. In 2017, 5th LET with 5 top10’s, #1 birdies, #1 driving distance.
In 2018 I played around the world LET, SYMETRA, Majors and LPGA Q-Series. 23.09.2018 my 2nd LET victory Estrella Damm Ladies Open Spain with -26 result. 03.11.2018 after 144 holes my LPGA Membership 2019. 25.11.2018 3rd LET win Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana. 2018 LET 2nd Order of Merit with a Spanish double. Rolex Rankings 84th.
Currently, I am the longest driver in women’s golf with 283 yards average distance and over 320 yards long drives. 03.03.2019 my 4th LET win ActewAGL Canberra Classic Australia. 01.12.2019 my 5th LET win, Spanish Open. 15.09.2019 I qualified for the Solheim cup with Team Europe and won this thriller with 14,5 – 13,5.
In 2020 I hopefully will be the first Dutch lady golfer going with TeamNL to the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo Japan.
